Macular Hole

What is Macular Hole?

Macular Hole is a defect in the central Retina (Macula) leading to decreased central vision. Macular holes usually develop as a result of the natural aging process.

  • Due to age-related changes to the Vitreous gel, Macular Hole may be accelerated after trauma, inflammation, or eye surgery.
  • It is a time-sensitive condition requiring Retina Surgery to repair.
  • Dr Pandya performed “NO Facedown” Macular Hole Surgery.
  • Our goal is to maximize your vision and improve your quality of life.
