We provide retina examinations, diagnosis and treatment. Dallas Retina services the Dallas Fort Worth area and has two locations: Plano and Waxahachie. We look forward to serving you by diagnosing and treating your retinal conditions. We specialize in treating patients with diseases of the retina and vitreous.

A vitreoretinal specialist is a highly trained medical physician who specializes in the diagnosis, evaluation, and medical or surgical treatment of diseases affecting the vitreous gel, macula, or peripheral retina in the back of the eye. After completing 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, 1 year of internship, 3 years of Ophthalmology Residency and 2 years of Vitreoretinal Surgical Fellowship, Dr. Pandya is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and capable of treating the microscopic complexities of medical and surgical retinal disease.

Meet Hemang K. Pandya, M.D.

Born in England, raised in Canada, trained in the United States, and now a proud Texan, Dr. Hemang K. Pandya is excited to be available to care for your retina concerns!

Dr Pandya earned his M.D., with Alpha Omega Alpha honors, from the Chicago Medical School. Dr. Pandya completed his Ophthalmology training, under the guidance of Vitreoretinal Leaders, Dr. Gary Abrams and Dr. Asheesh Tewari, at the renowned Kresge Eye Institute. Thereafter, Dr. Pandya completed a 2-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the prestigious Dean McGee Eye Institute.

Dr Pandya performs the latest surgical techniques for Retinal Detachment repair, Macular Puckers, Macular Holes, Diabetic Tractional Retinal Detachments, and a variety of other complex Vitreoretinal disorders. Clinically, Dr. Pandya specializes in the treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Vein Occlusions, and Age-Related Macular Degeneration.

As President of the American Retina Forum, Dr. Pandya continues to be a leader within the Vitreoretinal community both locally and nationwide. Dr. Pandya strives to provide personalized and compassionate care for all of his patients.

Dr. Pandya’s interests include Medical Mission Trips, Snowboarding, Ice Hockey, and playing with his puppy!
