What is Vitreomacular Traction?
Vitreomacular Traction is a very ‘sticky’ Vitreous gel on the surface of the retina leading to distorted central vision. It can lead to disorders in the macular area like macular holes and macular edema.
- It is a normal process of ‘growing up’, but can be accelerated after trauma, inflammation, or eye surgery.
- Vitreomacular Traction is associated with reduced sharpness of vision and other visual complications.
- Our goal is to maximize your vision and improve your quality of life.
